PLAQUES

If a person is killed on the street with just one stab, the minimum sentence is 25 years' imprisonment. But if someone is murdered at home—stabbed multiple times and dismembered—the killer’s sentence starts at just 15 years. Due to the location, these killings aren’t deemed ‘premeditated’ in the eyes of the law.

To push for a change in the law, we partnered with the charity Killed Women. Together, we transformed one of Britain’s cultural icons into a beaten and bruised plaque, placing it on the houses of each murdered woman.

To amplify our campaign, we brought it to Parliament and secured the backing of two MPs.

Ultimately, our efforts led to a CHANGED LAW!
